Case Study #1: Bach Flowers for Human Design
Space|Time Alchemy’s Human Design Blends
This study took place between July and August, 2025 for the purpose of testing the efficacy of a series of Bach Flower blends I created as an accompaniment to the system known as Human Design. There were 28 participants, of whom 16 followed through in providing the requested feedback.
The subject of this case study has been both a client of my homeopathic practice and a student of my Bach Flower Alchemy system. As she reports, this blend affected her more deeply than even the bespoke flower essence work she has done with me in the past.
Human Design type: GENERATOR
Subject: K (Female, 64 years old), starting a new entrepreneurial business.
Primary reason for engaging in the study: Subject reached out to try a Human Design blend partly out of curiosity, but specifically because she feels blocked in completing her business plan which is preventing her from being able to start generating income.
She reports feeling restless but unable to move forward, finds herself saying yes to the wrong things, puts the needs of others ahead of her own need to stay focused, and feels pressure within her family dynamic to be the one who figures everything out. She writes that she’s “Using procrastination and distractions to avoid doing the task I don’t want to do”. All of this is delaying her ability to reach the people who can benefit from what she has to offer as well as choking the prosperity of her enterprise.
Challenge / Baseline
Subject K gets easily drawn into “busy-work”, activities not related to furthering her business goals. She notices that family obligations take up a lot of her time and bandwidth although all her children are adults, capable of arranging their lives without her constant help.. She established a leadership role of responsibility for others within her household that she hasn’t been able to release.
She is expressing some themes common to Generator types; her energy field is scattered (she’s easily distracted or drawn away from priority tasks), she’s caught in a cycle of people-pleasing which is closely bound with her identity, and constantly feels subtle pressure to over-commit herself.
Remedy/Protocol
K took a blend created to address common Generator themes of frustration, self-doubt and people-pleasing. The blend contains water, brandy (as a preservative) and a proprietary combination of Bach Flower essences chosen according to Space|Time Alchemy’s archetypal framework. Flower essences are considered a type of “vibrational medicine” since they don’t have any discernible chemical profile.
The blend was taken 3-4 times a day over 5 weeks.
The protocol includes the use of some releasing statements that help the subject connect with qualities they would like to shift. This client did not use that part of the program, so we can be certain that the effects were not enhanced by this element.
Subject’s self-ratings
The following metrics were designed to match the “not-self” characteristics of the Generator type, and specifically to match the flower essences included in this blend. As shown below, Subject K initially rated herself at a 9/10 on a scale of frequency/intensity for two of the 10 metrics, 8 for three metrics, and 7 for two others, indicating that 7 of the following 10 metrics were significantly impacting her life:
“I feel restless or frustrated when I’m ready to go but nothing’s happening yet.” (8)
“I tend to keep myself busy because I feel uncomfortable when things slow down”. (7)
“I often say yes just because someone asked and then regret it later.” (8)
“I feel resentful when someone doesn’t appreciate how much I do for them.” (5)
“I lose energy fast whenever I’m doing something that doesn’t inspire or excite me.” (7)
“I feel like I have to be helpful.” (9)
“I doubt myself the moment somebody questions my choices.” (6)
“I get stuck in things I’ve outgrown because I don’t want to let anyone down.” (8)
“I feel like I’m the one who’s supposed to figure everything out and make it happen.” (9)
“When I’m around strong personalities, it’s hard for me to tell what I really want.” (6)
Week 1 Results, Subject ‘K’, Generator Blend
The results indicate significant improvement in 4 of the 5 metrics that were rated as most intense or most frequently observed. Average overall improvement shows 34% of potential change realized after one week — a robust early response for a Generator type.
By week 2, the same metrics show further improvement, with all five initially flagged areas improving between 42.9 % and 75 % of potential movement toward the ideal (score = 1). There has been a clear acceleration of improvement since Week 1 (average reduction of 61 % vs 34 % previously):
Week 2 Results, Subject ‘K’, Generator Blend
After Week 4, all these metrics exceed 85 % improvement with an overall improvement of 81% across all 10 metrics. Q5 (“energy loss from uninspired tasks”) is the least improved at 67 % reduction in intensity/frequency. While this is a remarkable shift, it points to some remaining energetic residue around external obligation which can now be addressed with a custom blend if the subject wants to maintain the trajectory of improvement.
Week 4 Results, Subject ‘K’, Generator Blend
Remarks from the subject about her experience:
“I’ve taken plenty of Bach Flowers over the years, even ones from you, but nothing touches what this blend did for me.”
“I never forget to take this - normally it’s hard to remember to take my doses of a remedy or supplement”
“I saw bright coloured lights, blue and green, during an osteopathic treatment - I’ve had loads of treatments over 20 years, that’s never happened before.”
“I didn’t really use the releasing statements (just read one of them once or twice)”
“I feel more confident to answer people when they ask about what kind of work I do”
“I don’t consult my numbers (business KPI) from the previous week anymore”
“I have no words to describe how I feel…I just don’t want it to wear off!”
Practitioner Insights:
While it’s wonderful to hear someone express a great shift, it’s new for me to have data to explore just how deeply the changes are being felt.
This subject’s self-concept is radically changed in just one month, mirroring outcomes I’ve seen in over two dozen people who agreed to participate in this trial. More results will be added in subsequent case studies.
